A Johnson City man is part of the cast of Lifetime's "Married At First Sight" spinoff series called "Married At First Sight: Honeymoon Island." Chris Perry, a singer, rapper, and Seton Central grad is one of the 16 singles the reality show follows on a tropical island.

"I was really intrigued by the concept of 'Married At First Sight' and what I really thought was cool about this show was that instead of the concept of getting married first, they decided to end it with if you want to get engaged or if you want to leave the person," says Perry.

Perry says he was interested in the show and applied and then producers reached out to him on social media. Last summer, we told you how Perry has built himself a global audience using social media platforms. He says this show is exciting because it allows him to show people a different side of him other than being Facebook-savvy.

"People seeing a different side of me. I mean, people might see what they see on Facebook, like we did the last interview, or Instagram and they don't really get to see the side of me where I'm more open, they get to see my fun side, they get to see me going through emotions and different roller coaster rides of who I am," says Perry.

Perry can't say whether or not he came away from the island engaged, but he and business partner Selvir Husic tease there are big things ahead.

"I'm just excited for my brother to get to experience this journey," says Husic, "We've got a lot of things coming in the future."

The show airs October 23rd on Lifetime Network.
