Binghamton. N.Y. - Being someone who grew up playing soccer with my little sister, there is nothing quite like growing up and having the same passion as your sibling who ultimately turns into your best friend (sometimes). The Firenze sisters grew up playing soccer along side each other since they were three and four years old. Jackie Firenze being one year older than Emma Firenze.

"I can remember the video my mom asked both of us who wanted to play soccer and we both were like me." said Jackie Firenze.

"It's always been soccer, soccer, everything soccer and we wouldn't have it any other way." said Emma Firenze.

Since four years old, the Firenze sisters have played along side each other on the soccer field and in high school it was Jackie facilitating the goals and Emma finished them. With Emma up at forward, she did in fact beat out her older sister for leading goal scorer at Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York.

"C'mon, you can't score if you don't have someone making you look good by feeding you assists." said Jackie.

"She's right, she did make me look really good."

Emma joined Jackie at Syracuse in 2012 where she played along side her sister for two seasons before transferring to Ohio State.

"I think we both always say we were each others favorite teammates, which is huge, because as players that went a long way off the field, on the field, always having someone to practice with and  always having someone on the field that has your back." said Emma.

Emma Firenze will join Binghamton University Women's soccer program as the second Assistant coach, while Jackie has been promoted to Assistant coach as she enters her third season with Binghamton. BU's Women's soccer team start pre-season on Wednesday, August 1st.
