Rumble Ponies Drop 0-2 To Rubber Ducks

It may have been a different day, but it was the same old story from last night for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies as they hosted the Akron Rubber Ducks in their second game of the series.
Up until the sixth inning, it was indeed a battle of the pitchers, while Rumble Ponie Joseph Shaw started his Rumble Ponie debut nearly perfect, giving up only two hits and caused 11 ground ball outs before Akron started to rally in the sixth inning.
On the other side, it was Akron pitcher Shane Bieber who gave up only four hits throughout the game, all which occurred in the seventh inning.
Just like last night, it was 1st baseman Peter Alonso with the shot into left field that got the Rumble Ponies their first hit of the game, in the bottom of the fourth inning. But, it was Akron who started to get their bats going in the top of the sixth inning, when Willi Castro brought in two runs and Mark Mathias quickly repeated with his shot into right field for another 2 run RBI. Unfortunately, that was all she wrote, as the Rubber Ducks went on to hold their lead, defeating the Ponies 5-1.
The Rumble Ponies will end their week-long home stand tomorrow night against Akron.
