Binghamton University's sophomore pitcher Rayn Gibson was named America Easter Pitcher of the Week due to her excellent performance this past weekend.

This is the second time in her career that she has received this honor.

Gibson went 3-0 this past weekend, striking out 26 batters and allowing only 15 hits throughout 20 innings. Gibson also went on to strike out a career high of 11 batters this weekend at Chenango Valley High School in Saturday's 6-3 victory over UMBC.

The lady bear cats travel to Albany for a 2 p.m. double header on Wednesday.
