BU Hosts Annual Day at the Mall

Binghamton University showcased everything its campus has to offer at its annual Day at the Mall event.
More than 100 students, faculty, and staff were at the Oakdale mall in Johnson City on Saturday afternoon to highlight current research, showcase academics and present admissions information.
"This event is a great opportunity for our University and our community to come together and learn, but in a fun and entertaining way," said Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger.
Fruit DNA extraction, 3D printing and more were on display for the community to watch and interact with.
"These events show kids and parents what's new at the University and we want to spark the interest in the kids so they can come up with new ideas that haven't been thought of before," said Resource Center Associate Director, Benson Chan.
He ran a table on 3D printing and was excited to show people the new uses for that type of technology.
