Endicott man charged with robbery of Dollar General

Endicott Police Department on Thursday charged 30 year old Shawn C. Jorgensen with Robbery in the 2nd Degree.
The arrest was the result of an investigation involving an incident that occurred on December 28th at 9:04pm at the Dollar General Store at 225 Harrison Ave. in the Village of Endicott.
During the incident, Jorgenson entered the store, displayed what appeared to be a handgun to the employees, demanded cash, then exited the store and was last observed heading northbound towards Cleveland Ave..
Jorgenson was later observed by Endicott Patrols enter a vehicle on Monroe St. and leave the area. Jorgenson was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The investigation lead to the recovery of the stolen currency, along with a black pellet gun, clothing, and mask utilized during the robbery.
Jorgenson is currently being held in the village lockup awaiting arraignment in the Village of Endicott Court.
