From 4-26 a year ago, to being picked to finish 9th in the America East preseason poll, to 14-17 and tied for third and America East Semifinalists the BU Bearcats outperformed everyone's expectations this season, except for their own.

All season long Head Coach Linda Cimino kept saying that they can beat anyone on any given day if they play the way they're capable. Ultimately, after a short turn around from the America East quarterfinal win over UMBC Saturday night to the semis on Sunday against Albany, the Bearcats didn't quite have what it took to get the job done. The Bearcats fell 79-43 to the Great Danes who very well could end up being the AEast champs come Friday night if they can beat Maine. But for BU, despite the loss, they know that there are good things to come. But, Imani Watkins probably puts it best:

"We'll be back, we'll be better, we'll be stronger, we'll be faster, we'll make more shots, we're hungry," Watkins said. "We were predicted to finish 9th and we finished tied for third and we won a playoff game. That's huge for us and that's a huge confidence builder and we've come a long way but it's only the beginning for us. Everyone in the locker room believes it. Our coaching staff believes it. We'll be back."

The Bearcats return the entire roster with the exception of Kim Albrecht who graduates in May.
