Meth Lab Found During Probation Check in Chenango County

Two Chenango County residents have been arrested for several drug charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.
During a probation check Thursday, convicted felon Calvin M. Parker, 56, was found to be in possession of a Remington 870 .20 gauge shotgun, approximately 7 ounces of marijuana, and digital scales.
Heather J. Naylor, 29, was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
According to police, a strong chemical odor was discovered during the investigation which led to the discovery of a “one pot” methamphetamine cook. Approximately 20 ounces of liquid methamphetamine was later recovered from their location.
The probation check was conducted was conducted Thursday by Chenango County Probation, the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police at 2019 County Road 16 in the Town of Otselic.
The New York State Police CCSERT Team and New York State Environmental Conservation Police assisted with the investigation.
Calvin M. Parker was charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He will also be charged with Unlawful Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Criminally Possessing Methamphetamine Precursors, Criminal Possession of Marihuana, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. His arraignment is currently pending.
Heather J. Naylor was charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. She will also be charged with Unlawful Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Criminally Possessing Methamphetamine Precursors, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. She is currently detained at the Chenango County Correctional Facility on a separate charge and awaiting arraignment.
