A Town of Lisle Man was charged with identify theft after using a stolen credit card.

Broome County Sheriffs located James Lynch, 25 after he was caught trying to use the stolen card at an auto parts store on Upper Front St, in the Town of Chenango on Monday, February 8th.

Sheriffs say they found Lynch in possession with 14 Vicodin pills as well as a credit card that did not have his name on it. He was arrested then released on an appearance ticket.

Police were able to locate the owner of the credit card who said she lost it at a local store in the Upper Front St. area on February 8th.

Further investigation into the incident led police to video evidence of Lynch using the card twice at the Speedway on Upper Front St.

Sheriff's say Lynch was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with two felonies, criminal possession of stolen property and identity theft.

He was taken to the Broome County without bail.
