In the Southern Tier, SUNY Broome hosted an event tonight focused on the challenges of drugs and alcohol...and how our young people can be kept away from these problems.


Participants and attendees expressed their deep concern over the topic, "Over the edge: What should we do when alcohol and drug use become a problem to society?"


The talk was brought about by SUNY Broome's Center for Civic Engagement and took place at WSKG studios. The idea was to talk about substance abuse and various solutions to the problem.
