Bearcats offense picking up of late

One of the favorite cliches among coaches is "offense wins games, defense wins championships." That's all fine and well, but in the Binghamton Bearcats case, their defense won't be able to win a championship if the offense can't win games. BU has won two of its last three games. Even so, the offense is averaging just 59.2 points per game on the season. The Bearcats have surpassed that mark in each of their last three games and four of their last six.
"We're shooting the ball better, our field goal percentage is getting better, we're getting more assists per game now," Tommy Dempsey said. "Just, overall I think the offense has improved. I wouldn't say it's dramatic but we've steadily gotten better offensively."
BU travels to Stony Brook on Wednesday.
