Powerball Sets a Record Breaking $900 Million

It seems like the Powerball keeps growing and growing. Saturday night's Powerball drawing will come in at a record breaking $900 million.
It also seems like word is getting around. According to the New York Gaming Commission, the state's afternoon sales for Powerball tickets on Saturday are at $3.3 million per hour.
According to the Gaming Commission, Saturday night's drawing is the largest Powerball jackpot ever and is also the largest jackpot prize of any game in U.S. history.
Saturday's $900 million dollar jackpot started at a $40 million dollar jackpot on November 7, 2015. It has rolled over 19 times leading up to this huge prize. Since November 7th, Powerball ticket purchases in New York have contributed over $44 million to education.
The largest Powerball jackpot to date was $590.5 million, won in Florida back in May 2013.
The $900 Powerball drawing with take place Saturday night (1/9) at 11:00 p.m. on Fox 40.
