The Lady Bearcats have already matched last year's win total, just eleven games into the season. At 4-7, they have yet to win on the road, but have won all four home games. However, only two of those wins have come against Division I teams. But there's a simple explanation as to why.

"You play these games for a couple of different reasons: to build confidence, to let them learn how to win, let them know what it feels like to win, and to work on some stuff and get the younger kids experience," said Head Coach Linda Cimino. "You got to give Nyack a lot of credit. Those kids didn't stop playing hard. Those kids were scrappy and we haven't seen anyone like that all year in terms of full court press and scrappiness. So, Nyack did a great job defensively on us and made us better today in that now we know what we need to work on when we are getting pressed full court."

The Bearcats travel to Cornell on December 30th.
