After over a month of construction, the Phelps Street road extension project has finally been completed in the town of Dickinson. A construction project that was a race against the clock to complete before winter sets in.

The late undertaking of the project originally stemmed from a safety issue related to idling trains from Canadian-Pacific, which had been known to block off the only outlet from the neighborhood of Rogers Mountain Way for periods of time as long as 45 minutes. This lead to an issue where emergency service vehicles could not reach the neighborhood while the trains blocked the entrance.

The extension of the road connects Phelps Street to Moeller Street, and officially opened on Friday.
