Driver Identified in Fatal Accident in Owego also Involved in 2014 Crash

The driver of a fatal motor vehicle accident involving two cars and a pedestrian in the Town of Owego has been identified.
Donald L. Ulmer, 72, of Little Meadows, PA, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Owego Court on December 15.
On Monday, a Taylor’s Recycling truck and pedestrian were struck by a southbound vehicle operated by Donald L. Ulmer. The Taylor’s employee was identified as Sean R. Tilghman, age 27, of Endicott NY.
Mr. Tilghman was pronounced dead at the scene.
On August 17, 2014, Ulmer was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on State Route 434 that took the life Auburn Lyons of South Gibson.

A 43-year-old man from Pennsylvania has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident in Apalachin Sunday afternoon.
New York State police say Auburn Llyons of South Gibson was traveling eastbound on State Route 434 approaching the intersection with Pennsylvania Avenue when a car turned in front of him. Police say that car was driven by 71-year-old Donald L. Ulmer Sr. of Little Meadows, Pennsylvania.
The investigation revealed that a 1997 Buick four door sedan being operated by 71 year old Donald Ulmer Sr. of Little Meadows, PA, was travelling westbound on state route 434 and turned left (south) onto Pennsylvania Avenue in front of a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle being operated by 43 year old Auburn Lyons of South Gibson, PA who was traveling eastbound on State Route 434 approaching the intersection with Pennsylvania Avenue.
Lyons was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tioga County coroner Stewart Bennett.
