Tis' is almost the season to be jolly as the holidays are right around the corner.


The Tioga History Museum kicked off its 11th annual O Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase in Owego today. The event features a Christmas tree and wreath auction, a holiday gift shop an Santa and his elves who came out to play.


After giving wishlists to Santa, participants can enjoy a variety of holiday musical performances and take a look at how to carve some neat gifts out of wood.


"We have a lot of local businesses, non-profit organizations ans special individuals who have a lot of talent. And they have a lot of beautifully crafted trees and they put a lot of heart into it every year, so it's great," said Executive Director, Stacy Baker.


If you couldn't stop by the fun today, don't worry the fun is just getting started.

The Holiday Showcase will run until December 12th. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 11am to 3pm at 110 front st. in Owego.


All proceeds from the event are benefiting the Tioga County Historical Society.
