The man accused of killing his common-law wife in the town of Maine was back in court Monday. 33-year-old Michael Fiocco is charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of 34 year old Shannon Laskaris.

Monday Fiocco provided the court with a DNA sample. The defense did not object to the request.

Shannon Laskaris died of asphyxiation in the early afternoon of December 19th, 2014 after police received several calls to their home. She left behind two children aged 7 and 12, the younger being the son of Fiocco.
