Binghamton Parking Amnesty Month Begins
By Fox 40 Staff.
The City of Binghamton’s one-month parking ticket amnesty program started Tuesday...
During September the city will allow the total cost of any ticket issued prior to January 1st of this year, including any penalties and late fees, to be paid at 75 percent of the outstanding balance due.
The city says as of August 3rd, there were over 19,000 unpaid parking tickets owed to the city totaling just over one million dollars. The city is working with the Department of Motor Vehicles to get permission to print the names of those who still have unpaid tickets in October.
