Alfred Turshman, an 81-year-old man who suffers from dementia,

has been missing since august 14th. He was last seen in the hamlet of Cincinnatus.

Not only are his family members concerned, but Fox 40 viewers have expressed concern as well.

One group searching for him is the Civil Air Patrol Squadron 292. This local group helps the community through rescue missions.

Its captain, David Hektor, discussed with us how they have handled these search and rescue operations in the past.

"You have to keep in mind that they're not going to answer you. Chances are whoever you're looking for is probably unconscious. And so even if you're hollering their name, or making all kinds of noise, they're not going to respond. So you have to look under every rock, and behind every tree, and mark your path," said Civil Air Patrol Captain David Hektor.

Though the Civil Air Patrol and others are on the mission, please contact authorities if you have information on Turshman at
