Earlier in the evening, reports of a blaze at a garage that was not attached to a home in Endicott broke.

The emergency was on the 100 block of Jennings Street and was under control in approximately five minutes.

Though there was initial concern that someone could be in the building, no one was injured in the incident.

Firefighting crews from Union Center and West Corners worked to help the Endicott crew that arrived, but the blaze was swiftly put out with limited manpower.

Captain Donald Collins said "Along Main St we could see smoke in the air, so we called for a second alarm. We only had four men on duty so therefore we wanted to get a quick response of off duty and mutual aid in case it was a building fire and we had to get inside and save someone."

Fox 40 is told that the garage that was engulfed in this fire is not salvageable.
