One year ago, Syracuse area native Regan Smith found himself thrust into the driver's seat of Tony Stewart's car for the CheezIt 355 at the Glen. The move made following the fatal accident at Canandaigua Motorsports Park earlier in the week that saw Stewart crash into and kill Kevin Ward, Jr. Ward's family, just on Friday, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Stewart.
One year later, Smith is using the experience from racing on his "home track" as he is set to compete in Saturday's Zippo 200.
