NYSP Release Details on Bear Involved Collision, One Man Dead

One man is dead after a three vehicle crash involving a black bear Friday night in the Town of Windsor.
State police say the driver of a Jeep Cherokee towing a trailer struck and killed a large black bear that entered the westbound lane on I-86.
The second vehicle was a Honda Civic, the driver of the Honda identified as Judy Bogad,attempted to swerve to avoid colliding with the dead bear but struck a motorcyclist instead.
State Police identify the motorcyclist as Thomas Poole, 56. Poole was transported to Wilson hospital where he later died due to numerous fractures and internal injuries.
Bogad was also transported to Wilson hospital with minor injuries to her left arm.
State police are still investigating the crash.
