A local farmers market is serving up fresh food for the holiday weekend.

Saturday, the Otsiningo Park Farmers Market remained open to serve up a variety of goods for holiday parties. Hundreds of people came out to purchase items like summer squash, beets, honey and canned goods from more than 20 different vendors.

"We're open because all of the farmers still have vegetables to sell. The plants don't stop producing when it's a holiday, so we decided to come and have an open market anyway. When you support your local community it definitely helps us all out and you can't get fresher food anywhere else than right here," said Market Manager for Otsiningo Park Farmers Market Adrian Biscontini.

The market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until the end of October.
