Johnson City Police arrested a Binghamton man for stealing four North Face jackets from Gander Mountain.


Police say 37-year-old Jason Pearce cut the security tags from the jackets and then concealed them under his jacket while leaving the store. Authorities say Pearce ran from security and tried to hide the stolen property. Police located pearce at north side park where he was taken into custody. The stolen property was recovered.


Pearce is charged with two misdemeanors and a felony count of tampering with physical evidence. He was sent to Broome County Jail.
