Police: Intoxicated Man Driving with Pot, Shotgun

Police have arrested a Castle Creek man after they say he was driving while intoxicated while in possession of marijuana and a shotgun.
Police say they were responding to a 911 report of of an intoxicated man threatening a woman with a shotgun while driving on Knapp Hill Road in the Town of Barker. After observing the vehicle drive by, a State Trooper checked the welfare of the occupant.
That's when police say they found 50-year-old Richard Ward intoxicated. Ward is charged with felony DWI because of a previous DWI conviction within the last ten years, and Ward can not legally possess a firearm because of a previous felony conviction. He is in Broome County Jail without bail.
