The end of the legislative session has coincided with the return of State Senator Tom Libous to Albany.

Libous returned to the Senate Floor Tuesday after a lengthy recuperation from cancer treatment and complications from back surgery. As for the pressing issues in front of the Senate, Libous says it may pass a 30-day extender on rent control, while Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan introduced a new bill Wednesday on the Education Investment Tax Credit which could carry the issue into next week. But, Libous says, just being back in the Capitol feels good.

"I'm still not 100 percent. I still have some back issues going on. I feel good. It's nice to be back in Albany. It's nice to run the Senate Floor again," said Libous.

Libous says he'd like to send his thanks to his constituents who sent their thoughts and prayers for his recovery.
