The state assembly could take up a bill that would ban the sale of powdered alcohol, or palcohol in New York state.

The bill already passed by the state senate would prohibit anyone from selling, offering for sale or providing for consumption, any powdered or crystalline alcoholic product. Assemblyman Cliff Crouch believes the assembly will not only take up the bill, but also pass it.

"I think it's a dangerous thing that we could be dealing with with our younger people, this powdered alcohol. I feel very strongly about it," said Assemblyman Clifford Crouch (R-122nd District).

Alaska has already outlawed powdered alcohol, and legislation to ban it was approved in South Carolina last week and in Vermont last month.
