Hundreds Participate in Relay for Life of Greater Binghamton
Hundreds of people are taking strides in the fight against cancer.
Friday SUNY Broome kicked off its Relay for Life of Greater Binghamton.
this is the 30th year for Relay for Life.
Several sponsors were handing out t-shirts, food, and even small prizes.
runners plan to camp out on the campus until the relay is complete at 8 a.m. Saturday, but don't worry they've got plenty of entertainment like Zumba and games, even slime for the kids.
Organizer said, "We go overnight because cancer never sleeps and neither do we. There are teams of families, friends co-workers there's lots of businesses here they all form teams, fund raise all year round and its kind of a celebrations of all their fundraising efforts."
Organizers hope to reach a goal of $100,000 this relay.
