Southern Tier police officers are putting their golf skills to the test.


On Wednesday several officers took to the links at Hiawatha Landing golf course for a tournament, all part of Police Memorial Week.


It's one of a number of events this week meant to increase awareness to those officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Proceeds from the golf tournament went to the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Memorial Association. This year marks the 16th year of the event, which has grown a great deal since it's inception. Police Memorial week kicked off last Friday and runs through Saturday.
