A public hearing was held Tuesday night on the Binghamton School District's 2015-2016 budget.

The board passed the 107 million dollar budget last month. The budget would decrease spending by just over one percent when compared to the 2014-2015 budget. It also calls for a tax levy increase of 1.17 percent.

On May 14th the Superintendent of the district will hold an on-line chat and residents will vote on the budget on May 19th.
