Charging Conference in Cal Harris Trial

Court is adjourned until Monday in the trial of Cal Harris but attorneys did meet with judge George Bartlett Wednesday morning for a charging conference. Harris is charged with killing his wife Michele who disappeared in September, 2001.
During this meeting which was closed to the public, the attorneys and judge Bartlett discussed the charges that will be read to jurors when they receive the case.
The jury will return to the courtroom Monday morning at which time Cal Harris' defense team says it will call no more than two rebuttal witness. Judge Bartlett has advised jurors they can expect to hear closing arguments Monday and receive the case on Tuesday.
