State police have released the identities of the three people killed in a fire in the Otsego County Town of Cherry Valley.

The blaze happened at about 3:45 Thursday morning at 165 Hone Road.

The victims have been identified as 13-year-old Anthony Sabler, 20-year-old Gabrielle Sabler and 22-year-old Ashley Tefft.

All three deaths were ruled accidental, caused by asphyxia due to the inhalation of smoke and heated combustible material. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.

The Oneonta Daily Star reports that the father of two of the children, Frank Sabler, is in critical condition at the Syracuse Medical Center after suffering burns trying to rescue the children.
