Upstate college students got connected with local employers today.

More than 30 regional stem companies set up inside Binghamton University's Fleishman Center for the 2015 Sci-Tech Career Connection.

STEM -- stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

The fair allows students to network with prospective employers for full-time employment and internship opportunities.

Some companies present Tuesday included Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and the Binghamton Ross Park Zoo.

Associate Director from Center for Korean Professional Development Bill McCarthy said, "Students come from different schools and attend and you know learn a little bit today and also meet with employers learn about internships and jobs. you know so they can maybe do something helpful for the local community during the summer and also maybe stay here and live here after they graduate."

The Sci-Tech Career Connection Fair is a yearly networking event and is open to more than 10 schools in Upstate New York.
