The Gator Boys are in town! The stars from Animal Planet's hit show came out to the Veteran's Memorial Area and they brought some gators with them!

It was all part of the Greater Binghamton Reptile Expo. The shows opened with Mark's Reptile Encounter with members educating the crowd on snakes and turtles. Breeders also took to the floor selling some reptiles.

Founder of Mark's Reptile Encounters Mark Perpetua said, "A big part of what we do is try to educate the public of how wonderful reptiles could be even though they do appear to be quite dangerous in the way they survive in the wild."

Gator Boys' Jimmy Riffle said, "With us talking about the alligators we want them to walk away with respect and appreciation with these animals. You know alligators are never an animal that gets looked as a like a dog would or a cat."

The expo was a segue to raise money for the non-profit organization Traci's Hope which provides medical aid for people diagnosed with breast cancer.

And $8,600 dollars was raised for Traci's Hope.
