The Susquehanna Valley girls basketball team is off to the state final four this week after a 47-41 win overWesthill in the Class B Regional. The Sabers had a 14 point lead in the third quarter but then went 10 minutes without a point and the Warriors got it back to a one point game. SV pulled it out late with free throws and defense and winning a game like this will help them this Friday.

"Winning that style of game where you had a nice lead and then have some hardship will kind of give us the mentality that we can overcome certain adversity. In the first quarter we had 8 turnovers and we overcame that, we go on that 10 minute drought, and we overcame that too. It's nice to know that when we need it, we will dig deep and come out on top," said head coach Chad Freije.

"It gives us a lot of confidence because in the final four, everyone is good and everybody is going to be fighting for that title. we want it just as bad as everyone," said center Erin Nolan, who had 9 points in the win.

The Sabers will play this Friday at 10 am against Section 6’s East Aurora at Hudson Valley Community College.
