A local dry cleaner is back open over a month after a fire swept through it's location at the Southside Plaza in Binghamton.

Bates Troy returned to it's Vestal Ave location. A fire in the early-morning hours of January 3rd forced the closure. Luckily, no clothes were damaged in the fire. The store moved it's operations to the Bates Troy on Main Street in Binghamton while the Vestal Ave location was being restored.

"I have wonderful customers on this side of town and I am really glad to be back here with them. They've been sweethearts coming in. They were anxious fo rus to get bakc and they were sweet about it. We've had people stop in today and say, 'Oh, we're so glad you're home,'" said Gladys LaBarron of Bates Troy.

The Family Dollar Store, which was also damaged in the fire, remains closed.
