Students Share Chemistry Magic Skills

Vestal high school science club members are showing off their chemistry-magic skills to elementary kids.
On Wednesday students from Clayton Avenue, African Road, Vestal and Tioga Hills elementary schools participated in skits and explosive experiments demonstrated by high school students. The experiments were focused around things like chemical reactions and weather. The seniors also incorporated music and dancing.
"actually when I was in 4th grade I actually also visited this chem magic show presentation so I like it a lot and that's kinds of why I ended up joining and now its fun showing other kids that chemistry isn't all memorization and things there's a lot of exciting stuff in it," said Yousuf Shah, Vestal High School senior.
Vestal high school students have participated in these shows every year since 1995. The show is named after late chemistry teacher Wanda Infantolino who passed away in 1995.
