WICZ-TV Fox 40 in Vestal, NY has an immediate opening for a Sports Director. The Southern Tier has a rich sports tradition with a Division I college, an AHL hockey team, and an AA baseball team in the area. Its a great market to continue your career.
Daily duties include: anchoring, writing, shooting and editing for 6 and 10 pm broadcasts, enterprise compelling stories, posting updates on our Web site and on Facebook and twitter, communicating coverage with news and scheduling and staffing.
Were searching for someone who has excellent organizational and leadership skills and can work well under pressure. Strong writing skills are a must. The ideal candidate should understand the importance of sports in a community, has a positive attitude and works well in a team atmosphere.
Candidates must be social media savvy and able to write for multiple platforms.

We offer internships year-round (Fall, Winter,
Summer, & Spring Semesters). Interns will assist
with the the production of the 10 o'clock evening
broadcast. Duties will range from (but are not
limited to) assisting / shadowing reporters with
field and inhouse work, filing, data input and
research for pursuing stories.
Requirements:
Students must receive credit for the internship
through an accredited college or university. Must be
at least a Sophomore to apply.
