A nine run first inning would almost not be enough for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies as they would take down New Hampshire in a 13-8 win on Saturday.

Rowdey Jordan would start the scoring off of a two run homer for his second of the season to give the Ponies a 2-0 lead before six different Rumble Ponies hits would bring in an additional seven runs to close out the opening frame. Binghamton also adding two runs in the second inning to go up 11-0.

New Hampshire would start to cut back that lead stringing together two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth to bring it down to an 8 run lead for Binghamton heading into the final third of the game.

In the bottom of the eighth New Hampshire's offense would give the Ponies some trouble as they would allow five runs in the bottom half to give the Fisher Cats some new life within the contest before Binghamton would slam the door in the ninth inning knocking down the first three batters in the rotation to pick up the win.

Binghamton pitcher Justin Jarvis would pick up his first win in a Rumble Ponies uniform going 3.2 innings and striking out two batters while only allowing one run and one hit.

The Rumble Ponies improve to 10-9 on the season and sit 3rd in the Eastern League Northeast standings, Binghamton and New Hampshire will finish their series tomorrow with a 1:35 P.M. first pitch.
