Town of Conklin and Five Mile Point Fire Departments responded to a garage fire at the Town of Conklin Highway Department on Carlin Road just after 10:30 am on Saturday morning.

Conklin Fire Chief Bill Gorman says a truck used for plowing caught fire and caused some extensive damage.

"They've obviously been out plowing a lot. They brought one of the trucks back earlier today and parked it in the garage and it eventually caught on fire," said Gorman.

The fire was out by the time first responders arrived because an overhead water line broke during the fire.

One truck is completely destroyed. Gorman says the others do not seem like they are damaged.
