On Wednesday morning in West Windsor, a car had driven off of an embankment resulting in one of the passengers, an 89-year-old man, being hospitalized.
When the 58-year-old driver of the vehicle thought the car was in reverse, she accelerated off of a driveway and down a steep embankment, which in turn flipped the car a number of times ending by skidding into and then out of a pond.
The two passengers had become trapped inside the car when a nearby witness called emergency services to help get them out.
After NYS Troopers arrived on the scene, Windsor Fire arrived and proceeded to open the vehicle and get the passengers out.
The driver was uninjured in the accident, while the elderly passenger had complaints of hand and leg injuries.
The passenger was transported to Wilson General for further examination.
