Racker Rivals Big Red Unites Local NHL Players with Cornell Alumni
ITHACA, N.Y. -
Hockey fans from all over flocked to the Lynah Rink at Cornell University for the 2019 Racker Rivals Big Red exhibition game.
The game paired NHL stars, including two-time Stanley Cup winner and current Los Angeles King Dustin Brown and current Vegas Golden Knight forward Alex Tuch, Cornell hockey alumni, and local celebrities in support of Racker's programs.
Racker is a non-profit organization supporting children with special needs and their families in Tioga, Cortland, and Tompkins counties.
Tuch and Brown are local to Upstate New York, Tuch from Syracuse and Brown from Ithaca. The two met a few years ago at this charity event, right before Tuch's first development camp.
Brown was able to play for his home crowd alongside his oldest son Jake, who scored the first goal of the game thanks to an assist from his father.
