Celebration Crasher: Car Crashes Into Multiple Parked Cars In Endwell

ENDWELL, N.Y. -

Fourth of July celebrations were put on pause for one Endwell neighborhood after a speeding car crashes into a number of parked vehicles Thursday night. 

Crews responded to Alexander Street around 7:50 p.m. after dispatch received multiple calls about the crash. 

According to State Police, a red Ford smashed into five or six parked cars before coming to a stop halfway on the curb. 

Police said the driver of the red ford sustained a head injury and was taken away by ambulance. The driver was the only one inside the vehicle during the incident.

 

Dozens of onlookers gathered around the scene. Witnesses told Fox 40 the red Ford was going very fast "at least 80 mph."

State Police say they are investigating if the driver of the red Ford was intoxicated or impaired. 

New York State Police was assisted by Broome County Sheriff's Office and Endwell Fire.
