Each year the tournament raises over $10,000 which goes towards the John P. Leet Memorial Scholarship Fund which was established in memorium of Fox 40 General Manager John Leet's son.

John P. Leet Memorial Scholarship is awarded every year to two or three SUNY Broome students through their scholarship program and Leet says, " It's a rewarding experience to see what happens when people receive these scholarships".

"Shelley Springsteen who won the John Patrick Leet Memorial Scholarship is now a manager at a gymnastics center which is exactly what she wanted to be, it's really rewarding to see that and nice to hear back from them and nice to see someone like that come back every year to see us too", says, Leet.

Over 24 teams participated in this years captain and crew shotgun start styled tournament.

There were also prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and a car for a hole in one drive.

Leet says, " So many businesses help us with this tournament, so many businesses that donate prizes that we give away so that we can keep the money that we raise and give it to the scholarship fund which is what is really important".
