High School Seniors Recognized for Excellence in Math and Science

PORT DICKINSON, N.Y. -

On Wednesday local high school seniors were honored with the Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence in Math and Science at SUNY Broome.

Along with a medal, the recognized seniors also receiving a cash award for the top-scoring male and female students in math and science from local area schools.

All award winners in attendance for Wednesday award ceremony will also be in consideration for the Francis and Lillian Paul Scholarships as a part of SUNY Broome's Engineering Science program which will give winners the chance for transfer scholarships after graduation and completion of a bachelor's degree.

Students honored today will receive $1,000 dollar scholarships each year to help further their education, with those planning on attending SUNY Broome getting an extra $1,000.
