Three Binghamton University runners finished in third place or higher at this year's Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field meet.
Junior Jack Johnson took home the gold in the men's high jump this weekend at a height of six feet, nine inches. He reached that same height to take home the America East title.
Former Maine-Endwell star Dan Schaffer finished in third place in the 5000, breaking his own school record. He took home the 1500 title at the America East Championships last weekend. He is ranked no. 35 in his event in the NCAA East Region.
Freshman Aziza Chigatayeva also finished in third place in her event, the 3000 steeplechase. She too broke a school record she set earlier this season, and finished first in her event at the conference championship meet. She is ranked no. 25 in the NCAA East.
The Bearcat men were 13 out of 43 scoring teams in the final standings.
