Binghamton University Host Presentation for Holocaust Remembrance Day

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

At the Art Museum on Binghamton Universities Campus, a presentation was held about genocide prevention and history on Thursday evening. 

Dozens of people gathered to hear Binghamton Alumnus and Senior Program Curator at the Levine Institute for Holocaust Education at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington  Steven Luckert talk about his involvement in genocide education and prevention. 

Luckert also talked about how changing technology and times are affecting museums and how younger people. "Well I think museums can't stay static, they have to go, they have to evolve and they have to adapt  to changing audiences"

Luckert also added "The changing roles of Holocaust and genocide museums in the 21st century and the challenges and opportunities that they face"

An estimated 6 million Jews were killed along with millions of others.
