A candlelit vigil for Jerome Smith, the 11-year-old boy who died unexpectedly in Johnson City, is scheduled for Saturday, February 16.
The vigil will be held at Greensfield Park located on Harry L. Drive in Johnson City from 4 to 5 p.m.
Smith was found dead in his Burbank Avenue home February 2.
On Friday, police arrested and charged his mother, Shakia Crute, in his death.
The 30-year old has been charged with Manslaughter in the 2nd degree. According to the felony complaint, Crute recklessly caused the death of Jerome Smith inside their home at 37 Burbank Ave.
