Close to a hundreds people came out to A Room To Heal's largest fundraiser of the year Friday night.
Hosted at the Holiday Inn in downtown Binghamton, its Hearts For Hope fundraiser featured a number of fun activities geared towards supporting A Room To Heal including basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and a live auction.
A Room to Heal is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to create a healing environment in the homes of children affected by serious medical conditions in the Broome and surrounding Counties.
During the event, a moment of silence was held to honor the memory of six children they have served in the past that lost their lives in 2018.
“It raises money to help us continue doing rooms for kids in our area who spend a lot of time in their rooms because they are going through a serious medical crisis,” said Linda Snyder, President of A Room to Heal.
Since its inception in 2005, A Room To Heal has performed over 110 room makeovers for seriously ill children in the Southern Tier.
