The Binghamton Devils were able to secure their first win of the new year over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers after beating them 3-2. Evan Cormier made 26 saves in his first professional win.
Saturday's game was a breath of fresh air, despite giving up a power play goal to the Sound Tigers in the first period. Colby Sissoms put the Devils on the board at the end of the first period with his first professional goal. The Devils took a 3-1 lead into the third, but the Sound Tigers could not bounce back.
The Devils return home on Wednesday night as they host the Syracuse Crunch on Dollar Dog Night.
